Tilt
Up Table Test
This test is used to test for syncope (fainting) in a patient.
Electrocardiogram
This test commonly referred to as EKG.
Electrophysiology
A diagnostic tool to identify irregular or fast heartbeats called
arrhythmia. Both non-invasive (EKG, Holter monitoring, medicine)
and invasive (pacemaker, electrophysiology studies) techniques
are available.
Diagnostic and Interventional
Cardiac Procedures
Includes balloon angioplasty, balloon valvotomy, and coil occlusion
of ductous arteriosus and stent placement. These can be alternatives
to cardiac surgery.
Exercise Testing
This is particularly valuable to children who participate in
sports. We can evaluate the way a child's body responds to exercise.
Oxygen supply and demand levels, provocation of irregular heartbeats,
chest pain and aerobic power are a few things that are examined. |
